cySystem offers with his unique MSSI/O architecture (Multiple Source Simple Input/Output) a revolutionary new technology in the area of the application services. Other unique techniques are the integrated Compress Engine that provides a high performance data transmission in the WAN and the Secure Application Defining (abbr. SAD). Because the applications generated with cySystem run browser-less as Windows desktop applications, the full Windows functionality is available to them.

High security

A big security gap in the data traffic on the Internet is closed by the riddance from the browser. cySystem is free from stability- and security-risks known in Java and ActiveX sphere. No compiled scripts or programmes are loaded. In addition, cySystem uses a proprietary internal encryption (up to 256 bits), own ticket procedure (incl. adjustable ticket-renewal + aging) and uses the SSL encryption.

An authentication against Windows, Win-Domain, LDAP or databases is possible. An extension on VPN-operation (against man in the middle attack) is also possible. Following the authentication, a role-based allocation of user's rights up to database field level can occur.

Cost advantage

The applications are not programmed, but are defined by the SAD process into text files (CDD). The definition syntax is simple and easy to learn. In addition, Templates for different application cases are provided. Only SQL skills are necessary to present professional high performance applications in the Internet already after some hours of training.

The development time is thereby drastically shortened. Instead of months there are now only days required to create complex database applications. The test phases following the development of cySystem applications are also very short, because the standard functionality of the system must not be tested any more.

The Total Cost of Ownership by utilisation of cySystem is low. Updates of the clients are not necessary even when massive modifications of the application occur. Merely the central system must be waited. The installation expenditure on the clients limits itself to the copy (or downloading) of the cyAgent.exe file and some DLLs on the client PC.

The training expenditure for the users is very low, because cySystem has been customised to the established functions and service manners of the Microsoft® Office sphere. There is even the possibility to fix the costs of a new development for foreign consultants clear and obligingly about defined price-lists in advance.

Strong Integration

cySystem realises bidirectional and parallel online data access on third-party systems. The demo-example application, which can be launched from the cyFlex server, demonstrates the online conjunction of datasets from an ORACLE® - and SAP® system in one Grid (table view). ORACLE®- and SAP®-data can be modified in the example application and be written back in the respective system (SAP® about RFC or BAPI to keep the SAP® rules).

In addition, there is the possibility to run several cyProvider interconnected. On that way, any data sources worldwide can be coupled online (consolidation from distributed database systems). SQL is used system-independent as the universal data query language (also for SAP®!!!). By use of the documented application-programming-interfaces the developer can interoperate with the application, react on events and integrate individual functionality (Business Rules).

Extensive functionality

cySystem-applications by default imply a huge functionality for analysing data: Field-related sorting by mouse click, grouping by drag & drop, complex filters by standard choice or free definition of conditions as well as Incremental Search in strings. A powerful report engine with integrated designer enables individual outputs as Excel-, Word-, PDF-, HTML-, RTF- and XML-document at the touch of a button. As well it assists the use and production of templates. As a special feature cySystem offers the multilingualism of the user interface and the content (also with the Reporting). That especially might target multinational operating enterprises. This Language engine helps to build up central analysable data sets across language boundaries without having to renounce the decentralised views in the respective national language.

User acceptance

The users, who have knowledge in dealing with Excel, immediately feel comfortable. cySystem has been customised to the established and widespread Microsoft® Office Look & Feel. Normally the user is not willing to follow every design self-realisation of the programmer guild. Functions and operating objects should be at the place where the user can expect them. There is a reason why diverse car manufacturers place the important operating functions of their vehicles in the same way. In addition, cySystem always provides the opportunity to personalise the application. User specific settings (style guide, window geometry, filter, groupings, assortments, etc.) are individually archived and restored. However, the biggest acceptance advantage is achieved by the fact, that the user is not forced to conform his business cases to the software, but the software is customised to his business cases.
